Meet Dr. Goodman
Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Goodman earned his dental education (1990-1996) at one of Europe’s top dental schools, the University of Aachen. He finished his studies and doctoral thesis in Germany with great honors such as “Magna cum Laude” and achieved his degree of Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD). Dentists in Germany are trained in all categories of dentistry; therefore, dentists are able to treat patients for extractions, root canals, reconstructive dentistry and dental surgery.
Although trained in all categories of modern dentistry, Dr. Goodman’s main interest has always been in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry (prosthodontics).
After working in Germany for several years in the department of prosthodontics and reconstructive dentistry, he immigrated to Los Angeles in 1998. Dr. Goodman took the California Dental Board at UCLA and received his second degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Furthermore, Dr. Goodman participated in the “Advanced Education in Prosthodontics” postgraduate program at USC and the “Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at UCLA. Both programs as well as many postdoctoral courses in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry give him advanced knowledge and hands-on skills in these great fields of modern dentistry. He has lectured internationally in Bahrain, Dubai, Germany and London about cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Goodman has been featured in many articles and interviews and was voted “Best Dentist” and “Top Dentist” for several years.
Dr. Goodman was featured on The Doctors TV show as well as featured on KTLA as the dentist for many beauty queens and beauty pageant contestants. He works alongside with the Dr. Phil show and frequently flies to Dubai for Cosmetic Dentistry.
Meet Dr. Lisa Kim
Dr. Lisa Kim is a highly skilled dentist with extensive expertise in gum health and preventive care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder and went on to complete her dental education at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry. Early in her career, Dr. Kim practiced at several dental offices and devoted time to volunteering in underserved communities, traveling to Korea, Mexico, and South Africa to provide much-needed dental care and education.
Since joining our dental group in 2006, Dr. Kim has become known for her gentle approach and her focus on advanced gum treatments. Her expertise includes both surgical and non-surgical gum therapies, with a specialization in laser gum treatment and ozone therapy. Dr. Kim is recognized for her skill in applying ozone in dentistry, which is an innovative, non-invasive method to enhance gum health and support healing. She is also certified in using the Diagnodent, a state-of-the-art laser cavity detector that allows her to identify hidden cavities with precision and without exposure to traditional X-ray radiation.
Over the years, Dr. Kim has collaborated closely with numerous periodontists, further expanding her expertise and commitment to providing exceptional dental care. Her patients appreciate her attention to detail, compassionate care, and dedication to using the latest dental technology to achieve the best outcomes in oral health.
Meet Terry
Terry is our main dental assistant for 19 years!
She is an expert in making temporaries, scanning digitally (no more sticky impressions), making in house bleaching trays and nightguard in our in-house lab.
She is a copilot and assistant to Dr. Goodman for all dental procedures.
Meet Kat
Kat is our office manager.
A dental manager oversees the daily operations of a dental office, ensuring smooth workflow and patient satisfaction. Her duties include managing our team of three hygienists, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, overseeing finances, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
She plays a crucial role in maintaining a well-functioning and efficient dental practice.
